At Chimney Rock, Akito was able to trade a wagon tongue for 45 pounds of food. Though they kept their rations to meager, it never hurt to have extra food, as Saori taught him.
They didn't run into any problems on their way to Fort Laramie. Saori was glad they were making progress. They were almost half way there. Only a wagon tongue was purchased since they had less than $100.
While luck and the weather was on their side, they go. Saori asks Sasha to go hunting again and he once again gets a buffalo. Yay for buffalo jerky. Bad news was Sasha was exhausted now, but he insisted he was fine.
...That was until he died a few days later. Taking this as a sign, Saori decides to up the rations and rest for three days to recover everyone's strengths.
